Social Education

Some ways in which we promote a social education include:

 

  • Social skills groups lead by key staff and nurture group provision for selected children;
  • ‘Relationships’ strand of PSHE;
  • Learning about families and communities;
  • Activities at playtimes and lunchtimes;
  • Engaging with British values through the whole curriculum and ethos;
  • Reparative consequences to instil social justice;
  • Paired and group work to help children learn collaboratively;
  • Extra-curricular activities developing range of social skills;
  • Peer assessment as part of effective learning;
  • National or international charity fundraising e.g. Comic Relief, Den Day for Save the Children.
