Each day children at Peartree Primary School can choose a school dinner or a packed lunch. They can also choose to bring their own packed lunch. The class teacher will take your child's choice each morning during registration.
Free School Meals
Your child may qualify for a free meal if you receive any of the following:
Income-based Jobseekers Allowance
Income-related Employment Support Allowance
Child Tax Credit (providing you're not also entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual gross income of no more than £16,190)
Pension Credit (Guarantee Credit)
Support under part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
Working Tax Credit run-on - paid for 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit.

Apply for free school meals to see if your child qualifies for a free meal at school. In addition, if you apply, Peartree Primary School gets extra money from the government to help with children's learning. This is known as Pupil Premium.

Universal Free School Meals
All children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to a free school meal under the Universal Free School Meals programme.
Peartree Primary School kitchen was last inspected by Food Safety Officers from Welwyn Hatfield Council on Fri 6 Sep 2019 and was awarded a Food Safety Score of 5 (very good). This is the highest possible score.
