Recall, a rounded education and respect
Congratulations! Your child is in Year 4. This is be a year in which teachers nurture and encourage the feelings of independent thinking, learning and decision making. So just what can you expect if you have a child in Year 4?
They already know the routines for Key Stage 2. They have already realised the expectations around home learning. They already understand that they will learn a lot in a year.
Year 4 learners are expected to be able to recall all the times table facts up to 12 x 12. Throughout the curriculum, we used learning tools to help children recall prior knowledge and skills. Although learning becomes increasingly complex, we ensure all children access a well-rounded education, with a broad and balanced curriculum. During Year 4, we will remind you child about self-respect and respect for others.
